Here is a "Famous Makers Odd Lots" brand hand knitting yarn. It is a pull skein 100% Acrylic and it says the net weight was 3 ounces. I am not sure if any has ever been used but the weight is 2.7 ounces so I do believe a little was.
The yarn is clean with no stains. The packaging does show some stains but, don't affect the yarn in any way.
